Novel Approaches in the Investigation of Kidney Disease (NAIKiD)

NAIKiD aims to establish a biorepository of clinical data, kidney biopsy tissue, blood samples, and urine samples from adult patients scheduled for either inpatient or outpatient clinically indicated biopsies. Approximately 1000 participants will be enrolled over a period of 10 years. The primary objectives of the study are to 1) identify novel blood and urine biomarkers of kidney injury, repair and disease, and 2) develop diagnostic tools and treatment options for kidney disease.
